welcome to the Life Changing Manifestations podcast. Today I wanna probe a question about why it is that we can keep thinking about something and we can think about it, we can dream about it. We're constantly immersing ourselves. It's coming to the front of our mind all the time. And yet we don't seem to achieve it or to become it. Why is it? And why is it that we can dream so vividly
Like we can touch it and feel it in our dreams, even in our deepest sleep when it's completely out of our control and it's our subconscious running the game. Why is it that we can feel it so deeply in our dream state and yet are unable to manifest it in our current reality? The pressing nature of these questions are ones that I have sought answers to for a long time.
I didn't even realize early on in my life that these were questions I was asking. These were just like a feeling I had. I couldn't understand how I could want something so much and yet not be able to realize it. And I didn't understand that connection. And so what I'm building here for you today in this podcast episode is that connection between our dreams and our reality. Because instead what I was doing is I was just seeking more or I was seeking changes.
to try and maneuver and trying to get to what I wanted. And by taking that control, I still wasn't connecting really to the deepest sense of my dream state. I was settling for less than what I dream about. Have you ever felt that way? And I perceived that I was capable of more, but I couldn't seem to figure out a solution. So as the years have passed, I have moved from this initial way of thinking
of trying to just control everything by changing jobs or changing circumstances, getting around different people and thinking things would be different. And I had to adapt that because I use the job as an example. That's a good one we can attach to most of us is that we change a job thinking it's going to solve a situation. Maybe it's going to give us the relief in the debt or it's going to open up more income to achieve more or it's going to take away the problem that we have with the people at the work.
But it's incomplete thinking to think that just changing the circumstance, the circumstance being the job, that just changing that is going to resolve the problem or is going to allow us to achieve our dreams.
And so we dream about more, but we're detached from it. That's where we're trying to build the bridge right now, is the detachment we have, the bridge that's not there to get us from where we are to where we want to be. And that's what Life Changing Manifestations, this podcast and all the work that I create is all about, helping you to realize all the dreams that you would like to fulfill and experience it at a deeper level. So that's why so many people have this love hate relationship, for example, with money.
because they hate that they don't have more of it. They would love to have more, because they hate it, they don't have more. It stays away from them. It's the same with our dreams. We want them, but they elude us. We think of them quite frequently, even in our sleep, especially if you're an active dreamer, if you're aware of your dream state. And yet they seem not to manifest any closer into our life. Why? That's the big question. Why? Why can we want something and not acquire it? What is wrong with our ability to manifest our dreams?
the plain and simple answer. And I will elaborate on this, but plain and simple. We don't allow our dreams to exist in our current reality. That's what you see in our dream state. So let me give you an example. As an adolescent, I've always dreamed of being this very outgoing and very popular girl. I was really envious of these girls that I saw at my school.
I also wanted deeply to be a cheerleader. And I think it was more than just the physical aspects of being a cheerleader. Like I thought it was super cool, the things they could do. But at the same time, it was their identity. There was this element of the performance side, but it was also their way that they walked around school with such confidence. They wore those cute cheerleading outfits to school on Fridays and they just exuded this confidence and this radiance that seemed to stand out from everyone else. And I wanted that.
that persona, the strength and the power that I felt was present with it. And they got to date whoever they wanted, like all the different things. But I realized too that my fascination with that, like my essence of who I thought I was missing out on being, I was attached to reading that book series. It was really popular in the eighties and nineties, Sweet Valley High. Can you really, those retro book series? I loved them.
But if you have ever read those, you know that the identity that I connected with deeply was Jessica Wakefield. Now, why am I sharing this with you? What part of my childhood experience does that relate to what's going on now? I'm sharing this because this is how I dreamt of myself in my sleep, in my daydreams, because your dreams exist for multiple reasons. But one of which is to allow your subconscious, which holds your deepest passions, to
resolve itself to fix the problem, to live it out and find satisfaction. These are all reasons that we dream. Your dreams can solve the problem that your conscious, your waking mind cannot because it's too fixated on an issue. Your dreams can also soothe your subconscious because like in my example, going back to me, dreaming about being an outgoing cheerleader during my waking hours as part of my known reality, I was very shy, which were inclusive. I kept to myself a lot.
I didn't speak out like I was the opposite of a cheerleader persona, even though I felt it inside of me. So I moved throughout the day wanting that And so I would dream about it in my sleep and I would live it out in this very vivid reality in my sleep, in my dreams, because my subconscious was feeling comforted. I was manifesting my results in my dream state.
not in my reality, my waking state. So there's your difference there. And this activity of your active imagination, your dreams coming into play all happen because it's allowing you to birth out the level of your manifestation that you are capable of and enabled to have in that moment.
Because most of it, like in my case, I wasn't going to ever be able to accept that for myself, allow it into my reality during the day. I didn't connect with that. I wanted it, but I didn't connect with it. I wanted it, but I didn't allow it. And so I dreamt about it. Is this all making sense? Like, I've written this out before I'm recording this so that I could clarify my thoughts. But even as I'm speaking, I want to make sure that you're tracking me or following along.
because this is so powerful to understand that the things that you really desire are present. Your subconscious is aware of them. They know your heart's desire because it is you. This is just your inner being. And this is the part of you that you've got to connect with. So to bring this back to how we open up the conversation, I'm going to ask you those questions again. Why is it that we can keep thinking about something and never achieve it?
And why is it that we can dream about something even in our deepest sleep mode when it's entirely out of our control and do that with air quotes because it feels like we're not taking the control. And yet it is our intuition bringing it forward to announce it to make it known to allow it to be expressed because we are disconnected. This is the whole reason why it happens in our dreams because we're missing out on living it during our day in our waking hours and that disconnection from our desire.
to what we are allowing to be is happening. And so that's why we have these dreams.
disconnection from our desire with the lack of allowance, that's us not allowing it into our day, and our confirmed belief that it's not possible, we're not ready for it, it's like how could this even happen? That's what blocks it from happening. So in the past couple of episodes, you've heard me mention my house sale. It has taken almost 13 years, because in one month it will be 13 years that we lived here.
Now, this is a manifestation that doesn't involve just me. This is other people now. But keeping this in mind, it's been a long process and a long journey just to get to the space to say, yes, we're willing to sell this house and move on. And I realized there were many limiting thoughts that had blocked me from being able to release this house and move on. And now that I've worked through those and some of them very much in real time,
The thoughts that have blocked me from selling have been removed and now the sale is happening in less than two weeks. But here's the interesting lesson that I am discovering now is that although I have allowed the house sale to happen, I still have blocks to work through on the next phase of the game. And the next phase of the game is where are we going next?
This has come up to me in so many different ways and a lot of it has been really surprising to go through. As I'm finding, I'm excited about the not knowing. This has been something that I'm embracing because I'm understanding how manifestation works and I'm experiencing at this higher level and I'm really excited. I'm open to the change. I thought that we would know where we're moving to and we even had a location in mind, but that's moving out of state and those elements have not all come together to make that happen.
So in real time, as I'm experiences, as I'm recording this for you, it feels interesting to expand and consider, okay, how can I move into the unknown and really embrace these principles that I teach that I'm believing in and put them into real practice? And that's what I'm sharing with you. So to wrap up like where we're going right now, right now, it feels really amazing to think about just taking off and going on a vacation. I want to go to the beach. I want to be warm. I want to be just.
feel the warmth of the sun on me and just embrace that and just see what unfolds from there. That's what's on my game plan for right now. Could this change? Yes. Am I open to that? Yes. I'm just taking it day by day. So remember to take notice of your dreams. There's a message is trying to tell you there's something in your dreams that is your subconscious way of speaking to you and to helping you. It's helping you to realize the fulfillment that you're missing out on.
that you're not allowing in your waking hours or you feel is out of your control. And so until you can get there, until you can believe it and allow it, you're going to dream more about it because I know this too. When I've looked at it back, there are things I don't dream about anymore because they finally came to realization my life or if I just released them and I didn't want it anymore. But until I could release it or experience it to allow it, I kept dreaming about it.
And so my dreams are different now than they used to be because now I have new things I'm expanding into and new things I'm seeking out. So look for that for yourself. Become aware of your dreams. There's something in your dreams that is a lesson for you and you can take that and you can continue to grow as you experience life changing manifestations
