Claim Your Power: Accepting Personal Ownership to Manifest
Jan 30, 2024Have you ever felt like life is something that simply happens to you, rather than something you can shape and mold?
Creating the life you desire begins when you are willing to take ownership for your results.
Personal ownership is accepting the lessons of your past decisions to empower you to make better ones moving forward.
The key here is for you to own your responsibility for the choices you have made, the things you have done and accepted, and learn from them. In doing so we give ourselves so much grace to value who we have been that has carried us this far and embrace the strengths, while releasing the limitations as we grow into the future.
This is what will allow you to manifest new results. But until you can embrace personal ownership you will often feel at the mercy of others or incapable of rising above your current circumstances. This leads to not feeling in control which results in not manifesting your dreams. Because based on this paradigm your subconscious believes you are stuck.
If you think that other people, things, and circumstances cause you to have the results in your life, then you are not taking personal ownership.
Understanding Personal Ownership
Personal ownership is not about shouldering blame; it's about accepting lessons. It's the kind of soul-searching that requires courage and honesty, as you reflect on the choices and paths you've taken. This introspection allows you to hold onto the strength and grace you've gained, while gently releasing any self-imposed limitations. It's a process of growth, of unfolding into the future with a sense of control and readiness.
When you embrace personal ownership, you open yourself to new possibilities. You no longer feel adrift, subject to the whims of others or the uncertainties of life. Instead, you stand firm in your faith and your ability to shape the narrative of your life.
Sadly, most people live their lives one day at a time, with no vision for anything more because they feel a victim of life.
But at any moment, they could choose to change things by beginning to take full ownership of what’s happening in their life.
Personal Reflection:
How have you gone adrift in the past? Saying you wanted something to change but because of the lack of personal ownership, things never shifted.
The Illusion of Control and the Reality of Ownership
Many of us spend our days passively, reacting to life's ebbs and flows without recognizing our own agency. It's easy to feel like a bystander in your own story when you attribute your situation to external factors. However, the moment you choose to take ownership is the moment you reclaim your power. It's a pivotal shift from being a passive player to becoming the author of your life story.
Negative energy can often cloud judgment, leading to a cycle of blame and inaction. It's comfortable to settle into the role of the victim, to settle for less than what we are capable of achieving. Personal ownership is about breaking free from this cycle, acknowledging our part in where we are, and actively seeking where we want to be.
Personal Reflection
Have you ever found yourself feeling trapped by circumstances -- more of a player rather than the author of your life story?
Manifesting better results can only begin to happen when you are willing to take personal ownership and embrace your power to create the life you desire.
Integrating Personal Ownership with Spiritual Conviction
As Christian women, we understand that our earthly journey is not just a series of random events but a path that aligns with our faith.
We are reminded in Philippians 2:13 (NLT), “For God is working in you, giving you the desire and the power to do what pleases him.”
This Bible verse captures the essence of personal ownership — it's about actively participating in the work God is doing in us and through us.
Indeed, as we are fashioned in the image of our Creator, we are endowed with the capability to shape our world. This co-creative process, however, is not just about envisioning a future but also about laying the bricks that build it. Ephesians 2:10 (NLT) tells us, “For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things He planned for us long ago.”
In this light, personal ownership becomes an act of faith—a way to fulfill the divine plans laid out for us.
