What is the size of your faith?
Jun 28, 2024Imagine that the faith you have for the thing you desire is like a light bulb. Think about what you are seeking and then consider the size of your faith towards that goal. What size light bulb comes to mind?
When you think about the size of the light bulb in relation to your faith, how much energy and light is that bulb putting off? Is it big and radiant or small, like a tiny Christmas tree light? The radiance of your light is directly connected to the strength of your faith and its potential to manifest your desires.
Analogies are powerful because they provide a visual picture in our minds. Picture a light bulb and imagine the strength of the light it gives off. The brightness of that bulb represents the intensity of your faith towards your desired manifestation. If the light is only glowing slightly, it signifies that your thoughts about your manifestation are kept to yourself, lacking the conviction to express them openly.
On the other hand, if your light is bright and radiant, it shows that you have abundant energy towards your manifestation, and everyone around you can see it.
Before you judge yourself for having a small light bulb-sized faith, remember that the size of your faith doesn’t matter as much as the intensity and what it drives you to do.
Even small faith can lead to action, and action is a testament to your belief.
Jesus talked about this in the Bible, in Matthew 17:20: “If you had faith even as small as a mustard seed, you could say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it would move. Nothing would be impossible.”
This is a powerful message because it shows that it’s not about the size of your faith, but the belief that it’s possible and taking action based on that belief. You can start right here, right now, with even a small amount of faith and achieve great things because you believe in Him. It’s not about believing in yourself alone but in the power of who is within you. As a Christ follower, Jesus lives in you, and he empowers you.
Think about what you could accomplish with God’s power.
Sometimes, doubt creeps in, and we find ourselves stuck in hypotheticals and negative scenarios. This doubt prevents us from taking action because we don’t have enough faith. But even a mustard seed-sized faith can move mountains. This is the lesson: we don’t need to have it all figured out or be champions in our own right. God is our champion. We just need to be willing to step forward.
Faith, even as small as a mustard seed, is enough to begin. If you nourish it, it will grow. The first step to growing your faith is taking action. When you take action, you start to see what God can do in and through you, and your faith will grow. Trusting in God and taking action helps you avoid feeling defeated. As Christ followers, we shouldn’t limit ourselves. We should stand in God’s power and trust that He will guide us.
Jesus doesn’t wait for our faith to be perfect. He uses the smallest seed to show that you don’t need much to trust in Him. Moving forward with small faith and big confidence in God is a lesson in growth. It’s about developing our faith as we continue to grow and reach for new things. This growth teaches us to rely on God for provision and draws us closer to Him.
Would we turn to God if we felt fully powerful and capable all the time? Probably not. The challenge is to draw close to God daily, not just when we’re desperate. Stand empowered, create more, and manifest great things to show your continual faith in Him. This will transform your life and help you take action on things you’ve been holding back on. We often live small lives, day-to-day, without fully embracing the potential God has for us.
You don’t need to have everything figured out. Stand in His power, draw close to God, and trust that He will prepare you, give you strength, and open opportunities. Your small mustard seed-sized faith is enough. Come to Him, give Him the glory, and watch your faith grow as you see what He can do. This is a testament to others and a new level of faith to embrace.
For example, I recently took a leap and published a book on Amazon Kindle for the first time. It was exciting but also challenging. Here is the link to the book: https://a.co/d/0eeOfOJX
However, it was within my skill set, so while it was a new accomplishment, it didn’t stretch my faith as much as I thought.
Now, launching my book-writing business, which I’ve been considering for months, feels more daunting. I have the skills but marketing myself and reaching out to new people is a challenge.
Writing this message made me realize this is my opportunity to grow my faith. I can trust God to provide the right people and opportunities. We shouldn’t only turn to God in crises but also for daily guidance and growth. Manifestation is about showcasing God’s glory in our lives and fulfilling our purpose. By manifesting more abundance, we can demonstrate God’s greatness in bigger ways.
