The struggle is real
Nov 01, 2023I can recall someone asking me how things are going, just a general question about my life, and my response was, “The struggle is real.” They immediately nodded in agreement.
Think about your experience as a mother.
Does the thought, “The struggle is real” apply to your experience?
If it does, you’re not alone.
And if you believe “The struggle is real” I want to confirm for you that it is.
The struggles you refer to are all indeed real.
- being a mother
- raising adolescents
- taking care of yourself
- work
- all your responsibilities
- and more
These things all exist in your life. No doubt about it.
However, they are continuing to be a persistent issue and challenge because you have labeled them a struggle.
Whether you have said it out loud as I have, or simply felt it in your heart when thinking about them, so long as you continue to label them as a struggle, they will remain challenging.
All because you expect them to be.
Process that for a while. Notice the cyclical cycle of thinking something will be, and the result of it turning out the way you expect.
