The Energy of Your Life
Jan 18, 2024
Energy is the intangible force that shapes our existence.
Literally, the energy we create fuels our achievements and powers every result we have.
For the focus of this post, the energy we refer to is not your physical stamina. The energy we are discussing in this post is the power force you put out into the world.
Our lives become a reflection of the energy we create, invest, and share into the world.
What we receive is a direct result of what we have created.
And we create from our energy force.
Envision your energy like flames to support a room.
If we create from a small single flame, our energy output has a small result. Think about the weak impact a small flickering flame has on a room – it creates visibility and heat but not very much.
But if we take the effort to build a fire in the fireplace and light some lamps, we end up with flames that can put off warmth to heat the entire room and light to be able to see comfortably.
It is the same with your energy source. However, much energy you create, directly impacts the results you experience.
In Romans 4:4, the Bible says, “When people work, their wages are not a gift, but something they have earned.”
This scripture sheds divine insight into the universal law of energy exchange: what we receive is intricately woven into what we give.
Imagine, a train — a colossal steel behemoth resting silently on the tracks. Its potential is immense, yet it remains just that — potential — until it is fueled.
The energy we pour into our lives is akin to the fuel that powers this train. Without it, the train cannot move, regardless of its inherent capabilities. But with the right fuel, it surges forward, gaining momentum, turning potential into useable force, capable of traveling great distances with ferocious power.
Now, consider the energy of your life. How much are you creating?
What fuel are you feeding the fire within?
Is there a driving force guiding you forward, igniting more energy?
Or do you only generate enough energy only to maintain a daily routine?
The train of your life will not grow in power if it is not fed. It may sustain itself on the residual warmth of past efforts (at least for a while), but to truly witness the roaring flames of progress, you must continually seek more fuel — more empowering thoughts, more feelings of persistence, and more purposeful actions.
The value we receive from life is directly tied to the value we contribute.
It’s a cycle of energy exchange where our input directly influences our output.
Our level of value, the energy we emit, determines the rewards we reap.
There is a boundless reservoir of energy available to us, an infinite capacity for creation, and we are the stewards of this power. Our only limitations are those we place upon ourselves.
To manifest better results, you must become more intentional about developing your inner flame – your energy source.
Like the diligent worker who earns wages in direct proportion to their effort, we must cultivate our energy to create the value output we desire.
Whether it’s gathering the wood of new skills, sparking the flame with connections, or fanning the embers with persistent action, our dedication to feeding our internal fires determines the brightness of our blaze.
Our lives are our masterpiece, and our energy is our palette. With every thought we think, every emotion we feel, and every action we take, we are creating our lives.
In essence, the scripture from Romans speaks to a truth that transcends time: the wages of our life — our happiness, our success, our fulfillment — are not gifts but the fruits of our labor.
The energy we exude is the currency with which we purchase our future.
It is through this conscious investment of energy that we can manifest the life we desire, a life where potential is not just a dormant promise, but a dynamic reality, ever in motion, ever evolving, just like the mighty train that pushes forward along the rails.
What fuel will you choose to stoke the fires of your potential?
